Troy Stokoe

Troy is a native Tucsonan and currently serves as Pastor at Calvary Tucson where he has administrative oversight of church staff, accounting, and counseling through various ministries.

After attending the University of Arizona, Troy moved quickly through upper management in the Price Club over a period of 12 years. During this time, he met and married his wife Lisa. Each came from divorced households, and thus decided to seek the church for answers on successful marriage. Upon visiting Calvary Chapel Concord in California, Troy heard the Gospel and knew Jesus was the answer to his empty, lonely and scared heart. That morning in 1987, Troy and his wife Lisa got out of their seats, walked forward and gave their lives to Christ. Sanctification immediately began and God worked out His salvation and holiness in their lives, filling them with His presence, promise, and peace. The couple then started serving in different areas of ministry, teaching children’s ministry, counseling, and teaching Bible studies. In 1993, the Lord called Troy and Lisa back to Tucson where he became connected to the ministries at Calvary Tucson. After serving faithfully for 3 years, he joined the staff as a full time Pastor.

Troy is committed to spending time daily in the Word, counseling and teaching others. In his leisure, Troy enjoys hiking, rock climbing, biking and weight lifting with his three sons. After 31 years of marriage, Troy loves to be wherever his wife is. His favorite verse is John 14:26, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
