Steve Fordyce

Small Groups Ministry Leader

Steve grew up in central Illinois where he received Christ at a local high school ministry. He became active in his faith and was baptized during his senior year in college. He graduated from Illinois State University in 1988 with Computer Science and Mathematics degrees. He started his career at Caterpillar in Peoria where he met Teri. They were married in 1991, and raised 4 children – Alex, Sydney, Aaron, and Nathan. They got involved in a new church plant called Northwoods Community Church where they participated in various ministries – worship, drama, sound & lighting, production, children, and small groups.

They moved to Tucson in 2017 as part of the relocation of Caterpillar Mining. Here they discovered Calvary Chapel and grew in their knowledge of the Word through weekly messages and Reach College, where Steve has now earned a Certificate in Theology. Steve and Teri are passionate about Small Groups as they are an essential part of the church to love, encourage, and pray for one another, develop meaningful friendships, grow deeper spiritually, and to serve others.

Steve is now retired from Caterpillar after 35 years of various IT and Engineering corporate leadership roles. Steve and Teri are thrilled to invest in ministry and are excited to discover what God has for them in this next season of their lives.

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established; The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
