Dan Swanson

Born and raised in the Chicago area (and a lifelong Bears and Cubs fan!), Dan Swanson grew up in a small Baptist church where he was always surrounded by faith, yet sensed something was missing. In the 1990s, during a short-term missions trip to the Navajo Nation, Dan discovered the relationship with Jesus he had been searching for. That experience deeply connected him to the Lord and sparked a lasting love for the desert.

Years later, Dan helped plant several churches in Arizona, where he met his wife, Shannon — a Tucson native who grew up at Calvary Tucson. The two were married in 2005 and are now blessed with five children and six dogs.

Over the past 15 years, Dan has served in youth ministry and taught regularly. Today, he has the privilege of leading the Young Adults Ministry at Calvary Tucson, where he continues to share his passion for Jesus and disciple the next generation.
